Connection Pointe Coffee Co. partners with Panama Christian Evangelism (PCE), a mission supported by Connection Pointe. When you purchase a cup or bag of Panamanian Premium Coffee at the Connection Pointe Coffee Co., you will touch the hearts and lives of the Guaymi Indians, an indigenous tribe in the Chiriqui province.

The Coffee...

Mission Coffee was formed in 2004 to sell and distribute the coffee raised by the PCE medical mission outside Boquete, Panama. All funds support PCE's goal of spreading the gospel to the Guaymi Indians in northwest Panama, a large, previously unreached group. The mission provides medical and dental care, educational programs and sustenance.

The People...

The Guaymi Indians are an agrarian people who live at a subsistence level. The average wage for a Guaymi worker who has regular employment is about $5.50/day, but the average yearly wage for most families in the region is less than $300/year.

Because transportation is such a rarity among the Guaymi (almost no one has a car or drives and most can't afford the local taxi and bus service), PCE uses buses to pick up churchgoers each Sunday. It is not unusual to have in excess of 120 individuals on a 66-passenger bus.
